How to open a Swish account as a newcomer

You'll need a personnummer and a Swedish bank account first. I went with Handelsbanken — they were the most helpful with my situation. The whole process took about 3 weeks from applying for personnummer to having Swish working.

Pro tip: bring your passport AND your coordination number letter when you go to the bank. Some banks won't open an account without both. I had to go back twice!
